Thus at anytime, only one copy of the licensed software used to be active.But with the advent of the activation procedure with LV 8.0,things have changed. I run it on my notebook, develop the codeand transfer only the EXE to the machine PC. Every smallcorrection ( believe me these are plenty in the initial stages of codedevelopment ) needs a wait for recompiling the EXE.Is there any other additional activation procedure that isavailable ( at additional cost ) which will permit me run the softwareon two machines at a time?ThanksRaghunathan. So you don't need to build an executable. Simply copy the code, and run the VI's like you would in the development environment.

So install LabVIEW on the development machine, and the runtime engine on the destination PC. Develop the VI's on a shared drive or network, and test the VI's on the destination PC.Regards,Wiebe. I sure will give it a try.It defenitley looks to be a possible answer for my problem.I also studied the EULA as advised by another member and it does permitthe activation of 4 instances of the software provided onlyone is used at any time. And there is also another optionto activate 4 different instances ina year provided I prove thatit has been unistalled in the previous instance.But instaed of reading all these fine print I think it is far better togo the way you suggested.
